4th edition in Brussels and Amsterdam

FROM 4 TO 8 DECEMBER 2023

The cities of Brussels and Amsterdam will welcome and inspire us throughout these five days of visits, meetings and collaborations between Europe and North America.

The NUMIX LAB is a new annual international meeting aimed at accelerating networking and promoting cooperation, co-productions, and the circulation of works and expertise. The objective is to federate a community around digital creativity in order to facilitate collaborations between the cultural, audiovisual and technological sectors.

The NUMIX LAB is an initiative of Xn Québec, the association of producers of digital experiences in Quebec, and {CORRESPONDANCES DIGITALES].

After a successful first edition in Paris – from November 29 to December 3, 2021 – and a second edition in Montreal from May 23 to 27, 2022, the third edition took place in the heart of three border countries (Luxembourg, France and Germany) from November 22 to 26, 2022.

This autumn, 150 creative studios, cultural venues and renowned American and European institutions are expected to participate in a 100% face-to-face event.

ITINERARY

Each edition of the NUMIX LAB is organised around a unique itinerary, specific to the city that hosts it.

During their stay, the participants take the time to discover innovative cultural places, to inspire each other, to create links and new approaches.

PITCHES BY CREATORS

In order to getting to know each other better, sharing expertise and business intelligence, pitch sessions, bringing together producers, studios and creators from North America and Europe, will enable participants to share their experiences, their passions and their challenges in a fast-paced environment.

INSPIRATIONAL MOMENTS

During these moments, we want to inspire you by sharing learning and experiences. Let’s forget about the “expert” qualities and focus on the “human” ones, let’s erase the status quo and exchange with others who could light you up and give you that little push that will help you get going in the right direction.

B2B MEETINGS

Meetings between creators, producers, institutions and cultural venues to identify opportunities and create international collaborations. Meet future collaborators, initiate new projects and begin the creation of a true ecosystem of digital creation. Xn Québec and [CORRESPONDANCES DIGITALES] teams aim to create relevant matches and meetings, as well as networking opportunities targeted to the interests and goals of the participants.

Three to four meetings will be planned for each of the registered companies.

SELECTION OF PARTICIPANTS

Participants interested in taking part in the NUMIX LAB will be selected to ensure the representativeness of the different cultural and creative industries as well as an equitable ratio between content producers, institutional representatives and funders.

The participants :

Meet one of the targeted profiles (producer and creative studio, cultural venue, actor in the distribution network, institution);
Have a professional activity that corresponds to the chosen themes;
Have already taken steps to export to the targeted geographical area or are in the process of doing so;
Have at least one experience in international co-production, if applicable;
Are open to sharing their professional experience;
Are open and willing to take part in organised business meetings (B2B);
Have relevant expertise to actively participate in the discussions planned during the proposed workshops.

Rules and objectives :

Only one representative per organisation;
Diversity and inclusion in the selected applications;
Fulfilment of entry requirements in the concerned countries.

Applications from companies and organizations meeting all of the criteria listed above will be favoured. Members of Xn Québec and of the Effet Québec – The Export expertise cluster who meet all the criteria will be given priority.

{CORRESPONDANCES DIGITALES] is a cultural engineering consultancy specialising in cultural innovation, founded by Antoine ROLAND in 2012 and recently joined by Christophe Salomon, a recognised audiovisual expert. By combining their heritage and audiovisual expertise, they support digital cultural projects:

Cultural institutions: audit / diagnosis, digital and audience development strategies, support for project implementation.
Companies: opportunity/feasibility studies, assistance with the design of business models, marketing plans, support for the production, operation and distribution of digital projects.
Ministries, local authorities and professional organisations: design of events, support for the structuring and running of networks, assistance with the development of territorial projects.
